I’m Rachel Painter (it really is my surname!), a contemporary landscape artist working primarily in oils. I live between Cornwall & Exmoor National Park, both ends of the iconic South West Coast path in the UK.
My paintings tell a story of discovery and wonder into the unexplored. Trading footsteps for spirited brushstrokes, slabs of oil paint and washes of luminous colour I transform these landscapes into melodies of colour and texture that sing into the steps ahead.
